China Organic Market is potential and welcome to our expo

China will become a nation with high organic food consumption while its volume of organic food production and export will increase at a fast rate over the next decade.

According to the last expo in Shanghai , more and more buyers are interested in the organic green food ,health is so hot a topic in life. 

At present, the international organic food market is enjoying annual growth of between 20 and 30 percent, and China is expected to become the largest consumer of organic food in the world, with organic food expected to occupy between 1 percent and 1.5 percent of China's entire food market.


Demand for organic food produced by China will reach or exceed five percent of the international organic food market.

It is predicted that both organic farmland and its produce will grow annually by between 20 and 30 percent over the next decade. Organic farmland will reach between 1,800 mu and 2,300 mu, accounting for between 1 percent and 1.5 percent of China's total agricultural land. 

Han Peixin, Deputy Director of China Green Food Development Center, said that China currently produces and converts around 50 categories or 400 and 500 varieties of organic products including vegetables, beans, grains, aquatic product and products gathered from the wild. 

Ma Aiguo, Director General of Agricultural Product Quality Safety Supervision Bureau under China's Ministry of Agriculture, said that China will continue to increase its support for the organic food industry during the Third China International Organic Trade Fair and Conference

The Third China International Organic Trade Fair and Conference was held in Shanghai from May 27 to May 29; 300 enterprises from 10 countries and regions attended, including Germany, the US, Taiwan and Hong Kong, 15% more than last time. 

Organic food refers to agricultural and sideline products that are produced under the organic farming production system. It is produced and processed in accordance with international organic farming and production requirements and corresponding standards, and has been certified by an independent certification body. Organic food can include grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, livestock and poultry, honey, aquatic product and spices.
